Annual Be Cool Program

July 2, 2008

As part of its annual Be Cool Air Conditioner Program, AmerenUE donated window unit air conditioners to the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, Urban League of St. Louis County, Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service of St. Charles County; the Jefferson County Health Department; and the Samaritan Center.

The air conditioners are all Energy StarŪ-listed units that meet the strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy.

AmerenUE Senior Vice President-Missouri Energy Delivery Richard Mark and Mrs. Ann Lucas discuss the operation of her new, Energy StarŪ air conditioner, courtesy of AmerenUE.

Richard Mark talks with Mrs. Laura Williford at her north St. Louis home. Mrs. Williford was one of 100 AmerenUE customers in the city who benefited from AmerenUE’s fourth annual Be Cool program. One hundred low-income and low-income elderly in St. Louis County received air conditioners as well.
