1.	Q.	What are the benefits of participating in Ameren’s Supplier Diversity Program?
	A.	Diverse suppliers that are successful in meeting our requirements are introduced to strategic sourcing and business segment decision-makers. The program also provides diverse suppliers with information sessions on procurement strategies; networking receptions with buyers and prime suppliers; business management seminars and workshops; referrals to experts who can help with financing; and other business development needs. 2.	Q.	What is the definition of a diverse business and what does certification do?
	A.	A diverse business is one which is certified by an Ameren-designated third-party as having met the definition of being at least 51 percent owned, controlled and operated by one or more members of a diverse group (e.g., minority, women, etc.). 3.	Q.	What if my firm doesn't meet the 51 percent threshold for ownership, control and operation, but I believe my company may qualify as a "diverse-led" company?
	A.	If a supplier is unable to acquire an Ameren recognized Supplier Diverse certification the supplier would not qualify for participation in the Supplier Diversity Program.
4.	Q.	I am certified as a diverse business. What is my next step?

5.	Q.	How do I know which person with Ameren’s Supplier Diversity Team is responsible for what my business provides?
	A.	Ameren’s procurement opportunities are segmented by three different business lines:    Business and Corporate Services J.P. Keating is the liaison for Ameren’s procurement opportunities in this line of business. 6.	Q.	Do you have an online registration tool?
	A.	Ameren is currently in the process of developing an online registration tool. While we develop this tool, please concentrate your efforts on the introduction of your companies’ goods and services and how you can become an Ameren supplier. 7.	Q.	How can I participate in the bidding process?
	A.	The Supplier Diversity staff works with procurement decision-makers throughout the company to aggregate demand opportunities.
