International Opera Legend Grace Bumbry, who was born in St. Louis and graduated from Sumner High School, returned home in February during Black History Month to receive a series of recognitions.
St. Louis Mayor Francis G. Slay presented the famous opera star with the coveted Key to the City with Richard Mark, (far right) senior vice president, Energy Delivery, AmerenUE, and Donna Knight (far left) chairwoman, Zoological, Parks and Museum District adding their congratulations.
AmerenUE also was co-sponsor of the third annual St. Louis Argus Foundation's "Lunch with the Legends," where Bumbry received a Lifetime Achievement Award.
