Energy Efficiency Goes Prime Time in Peoria			June 16, 2009
The Ameren Illinois Utilities (AIU) took its energy efficiency message to Peoria-area retirees in June with an energy savings booth at the Prime Times Expo. The Expo, targeting the 50-plus crowd at the Peoria Civic Center, provided retirees with information to improve their health and financial well-being. AIU’s Act On Energy booth provided energy efficiency education and information on programs available through Actonenergy.com to help customers use energy more wisely and reduce their monthly bills.
		Neal Johnson, senior communications executive, AIU, uses an electric meter to demonstrate the energy savings of CFL bulbs over standard incandescent bulbs.
		Cheryl Miller, energy efficiency advisor, AIU, shares information on various energy efficiency programs available to AIU customers through the Act On Energy Web site.
