AmerenUE Forestry personnel joined local Boy Scouts, Jefferson City Parks and Recreation employees, Shade Tree Service Company employees and other volunteers to celebrate Arbor Day with a tree-planting, April 25, at the city’s Ellis-Porter Park.
The group planted 33 trees that were provided through a $2,000 donation from the Ameren Environmental Connections Program. The program provides grants for selected projects that enhance the environment in communities served by an Ameren utility.
