What type of emails will I receive from Ameren?
Landlords or managers of property who have requested email notifications and who have provided Ameren with a valid email address will receive the following type of messages:<br><br> <ul> <li>Turn on order issued, maintained or voided by Ameren for a premise listed on the Landlord Agreement</li> <li>Turn off order issued, maintained or voided by Ameren for a premise listed on the Landlord Agreement </li> <li>Shut off for non-payment order issued by Ameren for a premise listed on the Landlord Agreement </li> <li>Name change on an account listed on the Landlord Agreement</li> </ul>
What if my tenant calls Ameren to disconnect service?
Ameren will send you an email advising you of the order with the scheduled date.
Will I be notified if my tenant is disconnected for non-payment?
Yes - if you signed up to receive emails, Ameren will send you an email whenever a service order is issued to disconnect a meter for non-payment.
Why can't I issue a turn on order for a new tenant?
Before issuing a turn on order for a new tenant, you must issue a turn off order for the existing tenant and enter a forwarding address for the final bill.
Why does a new tenant need to call Ameren to apply for service?
Your tenant may need to call Ameren before you can enter an online order for one of the following reasons:<br><br> <ul> <li>The tenant has an inactive, delinquent bill with Ameren. </li> <li>The tenant's current Ameren account is in collection status. </li> <li>The tenant's name does not match the Social Security Number provided.</li> <li>The premise may be flagged in Ameren's system with a meter problem, such as meter tampering or hazardous conditions.</li> </ul>
How far in advance can I enter a turn on order?
You can issue a turn on order up to 60 days in advance.
How do I stop or change the date I originally entered for a turn off or turn on order?
Void the order or change the date before the midnight (CST) deadline.
