Home Energy Audit Improvements - Natural Gas Residential Rebate Program & Requirements
Residential Home Energy Audit Improvements
A rebate will be paid for the purchase and installation of specific cost effective natural gas energy saving equipment and building shell measures, as recommended from a customer's energy audit performed by a qualified auditor, and which are not included in other residential natural gas measures listed in this Program.

Measures considered energy efficiency improvements include: ceiling insulation, wall insulation, air sealing measures, duct sealing measures and hot water measure kit. See rebate form for eligible measures and rebate amounts.

Improvements eligible for this rebate are a result of a customer's completed 2014 comprehensive energy audit. A comprehensive blower door audit must be performed during the energy audit by a qualified auditor.

An audit must have been performed on or after Jan. 1, 2014, and not later than Dec. 31, 2014, to be eligible.

Customer must submit a copy of the auditor's comprehensive energy audit report along with receipts for products purchased in 2014. An auditor is a nationally recognized contractor, trained in natural gas equipment utilization systems, whether commercial and/or residential structures, as an integrated whole building system. Residential training, certification, and accreditation are provided by the Building Performance Institute (BPI) and Residential Energy Services Network's (RESNET®). Commercial training and certification are provided by nationally-respected energy auditor certification organizations.

The rebate form must be submitted with all receipts for all eligible measures and the auditor's report. This rebate cannot be combined with other measures that are already offered under a different rebate category such as: ceiling insulation, hot water measure kit, etc.
       Requirements - must include:
  • Applicable rebate form
  • Receipts
  • Cost of labor, if any
  • Installer's signature
