For Electric Customers
It is estimated there are over 9.3 million digital picture frames in use and that number is expected to double over the next several years.
Large displays are typically used in restaurants, hotels, museums and educational settings, and outdoor environments such as retail or transportation signage.
ENERGY STAR® certified digital picture frames must meet stringent requirements in all modes of operation. On average, displays that have certified for the ENERGY STAR label, are 20% more energy efficient than conventional picture frames.
From the ENERGY STAR website
, “If all displays sold in the U.S. meet the ENERGY STAR requirement for displays, the energy savings would grow to about $1 billion each year and prevent greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those from nearly 1.5 million vehicles.”
