Ameren Missouri Vice President Nuclear Operations
David W. Neterer was named vice president, Nuclear Operations for Ameren Missouri in May 2014. In this role, Neterer is responsible for the safe operation of the Callaway Energy Center.
Neterer joined Ameren Missouri in April 1981. He started his nuclear career in the US Navy, where he served on various nuclear-powered surface ships and as a nuclear prototype instructor. In 1981, Neterer accepted a position as a quality control inspector at Callaway Energy Center. Since then, he has held a variety of positions at the energy center including: operations training supervisor; operations senior training supervisor; shift manager; assistant operations superintendent; electrical maintenance superintendent; operations superintendent; manager, Operations; plant director and senior plant director; senior director, Engineering; vice president, Engineering; and his current position as vice president of Nuclear Operations.
Neterer was licensed as a senior reactor operator in 1985. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering management from the University of Missouri - Rolla.
