Lindgren joined Ameren in 1998, became a member of the Ameren Leadership Team in 1999 and has held several leadership roles within human resources. He was promoted to vice president in 2006 and was named VP, chief human resources officer in 2009, and in 2015 was promoted to senior vice president of corporate communications and chief human resources officer. Before joining Ameren, he worked at The Franklin Life Insurance Company (AIG – American General) in a human resources leadership role.
Lindgren serves as chair of Edison Electric Institute's Chief Human Resources Officer Executive Advisory Committee and is a member of the board of directors for Ameren Transmission Company. He is dedicated to strengthening the community and currently serves as board past chair of Nine Network of Public Media, board member of STEM St. Louis, board member of St. Louis Sports Commission and has served in board chair roles of FOCUS St. Louis and Dance St. Louis. Lindgren has also served in many other community support activities.
Lindgren holds a bachelor's degree in business from Eastern Illinois and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois-Springfield, a certificate in Nuclear Reactor Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed the Advanced Management Program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
