Luke has been with Ameren for 20 years. He previously held the position Vice President, Engineering and Construction for Ameren Transmission. His responsibilities included leading the engineering design, project management, and construction organizations, and the overall execution of the Ameren Transmission capital project portfolio.
Luke joined Ameren in 2003 as an engineer in Transmission Substation Design, and in 2011, moved to the Transmission Project Management group. In 2015, Luke was promoted to Director of Transmission Design, leading the substation, transmission line, civil, system protection, and drafting design groups. In 2019, he was promoted to Senior Director, Transmission Operations and Maintenance, leading the control center, operations and maintenance, vegetation management, and reliability efforts.
Luke earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. Luke is a licensed Professional Engineer in Missouri and Illinois. He is active in many industry groups including Edison Electric Institute (EEI), and Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). Luke also serves the community as an Advisory Board member of the St. Louis Crisis Nursery and SIUE's school of Electrical Engineering, as well as a coach of youth sports.
