Once you set up Ameren Alerts, you can rest easy knowing we'll deliver the information that matters most straight to the palm of your hand. On your online Account Dashboard, you can sign up for:

  • Outage Alerts – receive a notification when power may be off in your area as well as estimated restoration updates, the cause of the outage and power restoration confirmation. You can also text OUT to AMEREN (263736)* to report an outage or STAT to check the status of power at your address.
  • Bill Reminders – Receive bill due date and past due reminders.
  • Important Account Status Updates – Receive an alert when immediate action is needed on your account.
  • Payment Confirmations – Receive an alert to confirm receipt of your payment.
  • Energy Assistance Pledge Posted – Receive an alert when your account is granted
  • Start & Stop Service - Receive alerts when your request to start or stop service has been completed.

  • Budget Billing Adjustments – If you're enrolled in Budget Billing, you'll automatically get this handy alert to let you know when your monthly payment needs to be adjusted.  
  • Weekly Cost Summary – Receive weekly alerts that include bill estimates based on your usage for your current billing cycle.  
  • Cost Threshold – Receive an alert when your energy costs exceed the threshold you've established for your account.  
  • Usage Threshold – Receive an alert when your usage exceeds the threshold you've established for your account.
  • Weather Alerts for GDS-5 and DS-6 Customers – Receive an alert the day before the average temperature is expected to be 25 degrees or below in the winter or 78 degrees or higher in the summer.

No Late Night Alerts

We do not send alerts during "Do Not Disturb" hours (10 p.m. - 7 a.m.). For your safety, outage text and email alerts are sent when an outage occurs, regardless of the time of day; however, you can adjust your other alert time settings by visiting the Alerts Center on your Account Dashboard.
