Rate Zones & Map

Ameren Illinois is divided into three distinct rate zones. The three different zones were put in place when Ameren merged three legacy companies to form a single operating company – Ameren Illinois.

Over the last several years, Ameren has been working to bring the rate structures and charges that each of the legacy companies once billed under into alignment. Today, the charges in each rate zone for various bill components are very similar and in many cases identical.

Eventually, all the rate structures and charges will be the same in each Rate Zone, and there will not be separate zones. This benefits Ameren Illinois customers by reducing confusion and simplifying billing.
