Back to Electric Commercial Vehicles and Equipment

Fleet and Equipment Incentives

Lower operating costs, improved safety and environmental gains are just a few of the benefits of making the switch to electric vehicles and equipment. New incentives for electric high-capacity lift trucks and truck refrigeration unit (eTRU) charging stations are now available to almost all Ameren Missouri business customers.

Electric Vehicle Incentives From Ameren

Incentives to convert your fleet to electric include:

  • Incentives of up to 50% of project cost for installation of EV charging stations.
  • Pay less at the plug: The cost of fueling an EV is less than half the cost of a traditional vehicle; it's like paying $1 per gallon of gas!
  • Lower maintenance costs: All-electric vehicles have fewer parts to maintain, and no tailpipe means no emissions checks.
  • Managing charging is easy: We can help you develop a plan to manage your charging and reduce fueling costs.

Electric Vehicle Federal Tax Credit

Switching to electric fleet passenger vehicles can be surprisingly affordable with assistance from the U.S. Federal Government.

  • Commercial EVs under 14,000 lbs. are eligible for a tax credit of $7,500
  • Commercial EVs over 14,000 lbs. are eligible for a tax credit of $40,000

Maximize your savings with Off-peak/On-peak Rates

Off-peak/on-peak rates can help your business save money based on when you use energy. With these rates, you can save by shifting your energy usage to off-peak times, when demand is lower, and you're charged less.

Bar graph for off peak. Off-Peak Times
Demand for energy is lower during these times, so you're charged less. These times vary by plan but are typically late at night and in the early morning.

Bar graph for on peak. On-Peak Times
Demand for energy is higher during these times, so you're charged more. These times vary by plan but are typically in the afternoon and early evenings.
