Yes! You must be an Ameren Missouri residential electric customer, living in a single-family dwelling, a multifamily building with four or less units, or a row house (defined as a single-family dwelling that shares common vertical walls with other single-family dwellings). Multistory, multifamily dwelling units with more than four units, which also share a horizontal surface (floor or ceiling) with another dwelling also qualify. Please confirm your eligibility with a participating contractor.

Yes! All services performed must be done by a participating contractor to qualify for a rebate.

Encourage them to enroll as a participating contractor! They can do so by contacting the Heating and Cooling Program team by emailing savings@amerenmissouri.com or calling 1.877.215.5752.

Your participating contractor will submit the rebate application and corresponding paperwork on your behalf.

Once we receive your application, you should receive your rebate in 8 weeks. If you don't receive your rebate after 8 weeks or wish to check the status of your rebate, please call 1.877.215.5752 or email savings@amerenmissouri.com.

The equipment must meet the requirements listed here to qualify:

  • The dwelling must be associated with a current Ameren Missouri residential electric account.
  • To be eligible for participation in the program, the dwelling unit must be one of the following:
    • Single-Family Eligibility:
      • Single-family residence
      • Building with four units or fewer, in any configuration
      • Row house, which is defined as a single-family dwelling unit that shares common vertical walls only with other single-family dwelling units
    • Multi-Family Eligibility:
      • Multistory, multi-family dwelling units with greater than four units that also share a horizontal surface (floor or ceiling) with another dwelling unit
  • A Participating Contractor must install the qualifying equipment and that contractor must be a Participating Contractor by the Heating and Cooling program at the time of installation. Participating Contractors can be located by visiting AmerenMissouriSavings.com/hvac or calling 1.877.215.5752.
  • All rebate applications and supporting documents must be submitted by a participating contractor within 30 days of service and by December 15, 2024.
  • Newly installed equipment must meet or exceed the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) or Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) levels set forth by the program and documented by the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI).
  • The existing operating CAC and ASHP being replaced must have a nameplate SEER rating of 13.99 or lower.
  • Existing operating GSHP being replaced must have a nameplate EER rating of 12 or lower (partial cooling load).
  • Existing failed CAC, ASHP or GSHP does not require maximum nameplate SEER/EER rating.
  • Existing equipment with an operational compressor must be submitted as operational (early replacement).
  • Rebate eligibility is dependent on the existing heating source.

Contractor Eligibility and Participation

  • All interested contractors are required to attend program orientation and complete a contractor participation agreement prior to offering Ameren Missouri rebates.

You are not required to replace your furnace or motor to be eligible for a rebate. However, your system as a whole must meet the energy efficiency requirements. A new furnace or ECM motor may help your system be more energy efficient, so that it qualifies for a rebate.

Yes, although you will need your landlord's permission. In addition, the rebate check will be sent to the name on the Ameren Missouri residential electric account at the address where the work is performed. If the check needs to be sent to a different name, your participating contractor must fill out a Rebate Reassignment Form.

The rebates are intended to encourage customers to purchase high-efficiency equipment and offset the additional cost of doing so. The amount is based on an average of the higher cost of the different high-efficiency models.

In addition to the incentive amounts listed on the rebate charts, Ameren Missouri works with HVAC distributors to promote the installation of higher efficiency equipment. For select equipment, such as 18+ SEER CAC and ASHP, and ductless systems, incentives may vary by program and measure type.

For the continued success of the program, it is important for customers to be aware that Ameren Missouri provides the rebates. If the program rebate helped customers decide to upgrade or service their system, it is important they state that if receiving a follow-up survey or call.
